Default exhaust cutout question?

I have a 10" long exhaust cutout. How much pipe should I cut off? 10"? Or less to have the cutout actually have sum pipe to sit o

what size pipe is it? will it slip over the existing pipe, or will you need to have it butt welded.

Its stock piping. Just before the rear tire. It should slip over its a 2.5" cutout

The ends of the cutout are 3" I think. So it will slip right over. It came with clamps so I dont have to weld it on

you might need some 3 inch to 2 1/2 inch reducers to get that to work. i dont see crushing down the pipe to 2 1/2 inch sealing well. i'm sure autozone or some place like that will have them.

Isnt the oiping after the Y 2.5" im putting it on before that. A little before my right rear tire which is bigger piping right? Sure looks bigger lol

i think the after the y is more like 2 inch. the pipe from the cat to the y is 2 1/2 inches or less.

Ahh gotcha. Doesnt matter I got halfway through cutting my pipe with a sawzall and bent the blade. Then realized how hard it is to do without having the on a lift so now I just have a slit in my pipe. Sounds terrible. Having a shop finish it tomorrow lol
