06 GXP Nav questions

06 GXP Nav questions Got an 06 GXP with the factory Denso nav unit. I am pretty positive that it never had the patch done to allow for MP3 playback because the PO was an older woman who really liked AM talk radio.

Just wanted to see if there was anyway to test whether it had been done or not prior and to verify that this was the correct patch I should be doing.
Also, can anyone give me the version number of the latest navigation update compatible with this H/U? I am going to try and download an update but not positive what all I need to look for in the title to find the correct one (don't want to brick the unit accidentally trying something for a Tahoe/Cadillac/etc.)
