Broke my trans tonight
Ran down the track a couple good times tonight and on the 3rd run broke something really bad in the trans made a bunch of noise the engine reved and stalled now the motor won't even crank so i guessing the chain or input shaft broke and is stopping the motor from turning over but at least i had fun in the process had 2 good runs. Anyone got any ideas on what i broke??

What kind of trans do you have? If we new that im sure we could give you better ideas meaning we could start with the most common problems and go from there. How much power are you putting at the wheels or at the fly? My suggestion is take it out and open her up clean it all out and take as many pics for us to help you out. Sry bout your luck at the track.

A Update i got the motor to crank up today she runs just fine in park/Neutral put her in gears and all types of noises So its def the trans. And the good thing is i have a core in the process of being built but waiting on parts for like 3 weeks is the down side (( So i will break the old diamond back and get some exercise Until im up and running again

So yes, there is another!
My good friend and 30 year GM Master Tech Trans specialist will be offering builds. He has built a half dozen trans for my various personal projects and they perform awesome! He built the 4t65e in my Turbo GXP (LS4) and it's a beast. The plan was to build a trans for 08 Pimpala and let him report an independent evaluation - looks like the time table got bumped up after we met at the track last night...
08 Pimpala was running really well till the The unusual cold weather in FL conspired to deny my GXP traction, so I'll see what we can get done after it warms up.
Far as the trans offering, they'll be less expensive and much faster than Triple Edge Performance (TEP). Nothing against TEP - Dave and his crew do great work, it's just a PITA to wait 6-8 weeks for a trans when the stock one gives up the ghost and you need your car... I'll start a thread when it's all set up.

Hoping to get 08Pimpala back on the road soon...
After that the hope is to have all the parts on hand so turn around time is minimal - nothing worse then breaking your ride and having to sit on your thumb waiting for parts! The last real hurdle is setting up affordable shipping... anyone able to weigh in?

Thanx for the props! As said, I'm in S. Florida (Ft Lauderdale) and the trans builder is in N. Florida (Gainesville) 5 hrs away - yes, he's worth the drive!!
Hoping to get 08Pimpala back on the road soon...
