Default running rich after new intake

for all those that have done the swap out there, im running pretty rich after the swap, and i was just curious if that was because the ls6 injectors are slightly bigger. i triple and quadruple checked everthing, everythings good. am i correct in my assumption that i need to get the injector scaling tuned and thats why im so rich?

if you haven't been retuned I would guess that would solve all the problems

Correct. It is the injectors, and I would drive the car as little as possible in this state, as it's likely you're dumping excess fuel down the cylinder walls, which will dilute the oil and eventually damage the engine.

Does the oil smell like gasoline?

Ls4 and ls6 injectors have almost identical fuel ratings. The issue is you being more efficient on the air side. Its pulling more air which is why its pumping more fuel.

Default Running rich and excessive oil consumption

Since swapping my LS4 intake for an LS6 intake and injectors I appear to be running rich as well, however I am also experiencing are extraordinarily high oil consumption I can't seem to diagnose. I have no oil leaks, no cloud of exhaust smoking, did a compression test and if doesn't appear to be a blown head gasket. Can running rich cause and oil thinning to the point of high oil consumption?

P.S. Wow, I just realized that after being a forum member for over a year and a half, this is my first post! The perils of being a lurker

You probably just need to add a catch can. These engines tend to get quite a bit of oil going through the PCV system. It won't change the oil level drop in the pan, but will keep it out of your intake and keep from burning it.
