IMO, if you want a aftermarket performance cam sound, get a performance cam and get a nice power increase to go with that sound; don't be a poser! 
I'd try posting in the pcm-diagnostics-tuning section. I'm sure you'll get a better response there since it al about the tune.

Yeah, the mustang doesn't sound good at all.
Here is a camshaft induced (224/232) lumpy idle on an LS4... I like it, but is also comes with a nice increase in HP, and I like that more than the sound.
