new 2006 ss owner i had posted before if i should buy a 2006 ss well today i bought it for better or worse. car is in 97% shape 40k miles loaded tires 60% need to change coolant still factory. i know the brother of the owner we do business together. can't wait to get it insured and registered so i can drive it I'm the 3rd owner paid 8500

thanks its a nice ride at that price i figured if i need a tranny at some point I'm still have a nice car for a reasonable price. if i do need a tranny tep will be doing it. i had emailed them to see what cost would be they were great got right back to me an advised me on what i would need. wish i was closer

Problem is the extra car , the tools, the money , and a freind to help , a location to leave your car.
lol
But if you do happen to have all those things i suggest doing it yourself you'll gain allot of experience from it and you'll realize really how simple it is
Changing out your own transmission that is.
