Yeah. I still owe about 5 grand left which isn't much really. Kinda tired of paying a note lol, it'll be nice not to. I don't go to the track a lot but I wouldn't want money wasted I to mods not grabbing anything. But your right about personal gratification .

Keep an eye out for deals or used parts. Join a couple more forums for Monte Carlo, Impala Grand Prix and cant forget the Buick LaCrosse. People demod, total their cars, just change plans. That will keep your budget in check, and whatever you do do not try to keep up with Spawne lol

When I ran at my local track, nobody even knew what the car was. The ones that were familiar with them knew only about 3800 sc engines and thought that I had swapped an LS1 in the car purposely.

I've been in the car business for 16 years. V8 W bodies are a rarity even most car guys have no idea were ever made. Supercharged 3800s were the thing to have in the 90s and early 00s. By the time the V8 came out, there were so many more popular choices out there. The Chrysler LX Hemis came out at the same time as the GXP, and on a local level, I can tell you the Dodge dealer down the street was selling every Hemi Charger they could, while I was busy losing GTP owners to them.

I remember Car and Driver saying in their road test of a GXP that if GM had put a V8 in a W car 10 years prior, they would've owned the 90s. I think the LS4s are great cars...they just weren't overly popular, and when it comes to cheap speed or highly modifiable platforms, there are easier options.

I give credit to anyone successfully modding and racing an LS4. I've never seen anyone in my old area of MA do it. 3800s, on the other hand, used to be everywhere.

If I remember those first year Chargers had unlimited power train warranty's, it was a toss up between the Charger and the GXP when I was looking around that time. I drove the Charger, and it didn't seem faster and fit and finish was for ****. They have come along way, they seem to make a variety of sporty cars people want, GM not so much. I would take a Challenger over just about anything but the Cadillac right now, our local dealer in Enfield stocks all the popular colors, I tend to try not to drive by much. My wife's minivan is the only Chrysler product I have ever owned, bought new in 2002 and it has been a good vehicle but its showing its New England age. Very few knew mine had a V8, had to brag it up a bit just to get them to listen lol.

Hmm yeah it's a bit of a shame, I would like a Chevy ss but I don't think those sold very well because they made limited ones.

Well looks like the 16 and 17 version they made changes and offered manuals more but I can't justify 47k brand new lol. It would be nice however. Maybe even if they gave us the turbo engine from the camaro. And dropped the price down to about 25k-30k. I could do that even. Those 2.0s make pretty nice power once modded

1) I drove a GXP almost back to back with a Charger R/T...this was the same day in 2006. I left one job to start another at a Chrysler dealer. I took one last romp in the GXP, showed up at Chrysler, and took the Charger out. The GXP was a blast. The Charger was fine going straight. Interior sucked. Handling sucked. I didn't even like the styling all that much. I honestly felt the GXP was the better car for less money. Ironically, years later, I bought a new 2014 Charger R/T with the Super Track Pack. Awesome car. 10x the car of the 2006. I miss it...I traded that and a Wrangler in for my V when I moved here back last winter.

2) Artioli has an incredible selection of Challengers. When I was working for other Chrysler dealers in the area, I always envied their selection of Challengers. I would take one over a new Camaro or Mustang...no questions asked.

Super track pack, hell yea! Factory line lock right, or is that just standards in the Challengers?

No factory line lock in Mopars...you're thinking of new Mustang GT. Super Track Pack took a stock Charger RT and added Bilstein shocks, police package brake pads, SRT steering rack and gave it 3 season Eagle F1s. Best $500 you could ever spend on a Charger or Challenger. Went from handling like a boat to nice and firm.

Yes, Fedors was on Route 10. Yes, Scranton was not great at times. I worked there for 6 months as an F&I Manager and ran to Florida. 6 months was enough. Haven't missed it for a day.

Artioli had some that had it a few years ago, it was call hill assist or something and was part of the drag pack I think? on Challengers. I spoke with the sale rep and although he didnt know much he called it kind of a line lock. Yes, they rule for Challengers, I bet they have at least 10 and in every cool color imaginable. My buddy has a SRT8 Challenger, paid the gas guzzler tax and I thought screw that.
