Default Shifting problem?

So I've had my '06 GXP for about three months now. put over 10K miles on it as it's my daily driver for work. I've installed a transmission cooler and also the Transgo shift kit. The shift kit did help with shifting, especially the 2-3 shift. But it barely made a difference on the 1-2 shift. Not sure if it's normal, or something wrong with my trans, but the 1-2 shift just feels delayed and sluggish. Like there is a short delay in the shift before it puts power back to the trans. Only at full throttle. Part throttle seems fine. I've been to the drag strip once just to see what it would do. Best of 9.38 in the 1/8th mile, but that 1-2 shift is killing the times. Was racing a 2014 Camaro V6 and had him off the line until the shift. The delay in shift stopped my momentum and he pulled ahead and I was never able to recover.

I'm thinking this might be a torque management, or some other programming related thing to try and help save the transmission.

I highly doubt its torque management related, it sounds like worn out clutches.
