Default Too late?

Do you guys think it's a bit too late to mod these cars out? I know some of us feel they are a waste to mod esp for the track. But I'm in a debate on modding mine out or just saving the money and maybe getting a g8 or a 6th gen camaro. Opinions?

In general any ls4 model. I guess specific would be 07 Monte SS. I wanted a gxp but couldn't find anyone with a decent one years ago lol.

I'm currently building a 1911 Model T roadster with my dad,, so when you said too old I was like ??

For me the body is just an engine delivery system, like chips and dip, the dip has the flavor the chip caries it. I lost most of my interest in aesthetics in my late 40's ,, now I like to go fast and if fast looks like a polished turd,,, so be it.. LOL

The nice thing about the 07 is its still kind of a real chassis, and has lots of flexibility...

lol wel I'm 26 with no kids and no real responsibility, so it would be my daily which don't get me wrong I love my Monte, but I would def like to mod it out since I'm about to be done paying for it. Just not too sure if in the long run itd be worth it. From just being on these forums for ages I know it takes a lot to make these cars faster .

A lot of members here that are still around are already modded lol😂😂

I bought my 08 GXP in 08 and have done some upgrades but never modded. I have had plenty of fast cars, in my opinion small mods are fine for the LS4 cars but to try and make these track cars just costs too much money and could be done much cheaper on a different platform. If my heart was set on modding it , the Monte SS is a good choice but its not an investment by any means and will be costly for sure if done right.

If really want to go fast get something else. If you wanna stand out and have a reasonably quick car do the Monte.

I don't see a lot of G8's where I'm from... certainly no GXP's

I see some small amount of camaros, a lot of chargers and SUVs . Barely any Monte Ss, few gxps and few impalas. It's really nothing reasonable in prices that look good and easily modded minus the g8s and the good ones are quite far..lol

ok i'll add my 3 cents
I have owned this car as the original owner. It's a fun car. Great daily driver has power for passing others and fun to drive. GM gave me a fee transmission after 28,000 but i had to pay the labor. $1,200.
I have 86,000 and enjoy the car. Still get looks when its washed and waxed. This car will be looked at and wanted at car shows now and in the future

Well I decided I'm just gonna mod the hell out of it lol, sadly I have some cosmetic damage I do want to fix up. I do however want a nice g8 but since im about to finish my payments I'll just keep this for awhile and make it pretty fast. I don't do tracks usually but maybe once or twice a year but I would love a fast street car.
