Intake Swap

Intake Swap Okay, coming close to doing an intake swap,
I'm going with the LS2
more and likely keep the LS4 TB
I'm tuning the DOD out!
I've read, and read; and just end up confused. LoL
For the VLOM, I see where some guys are cutting, blocking the (I'm assuming) Oil Pressure sensor area off, and using a sandwich plate to relocate the oil pressure sensor, due to the neck of the swapped LS manifolds.
Now are this JUST an alternative from angling the damn oil Pressure sensor in its original spot or are these two things you HAVE to do? Please help!!
Man I'm just trying to do the most simple, but safe way.
