wouldn't it have been slightly better for GM to equip these cars with the Northstar's 4T80-E - with a 400+lb/ft rating stock instead of the 4T65-E? i see the V-8 version of the trans is stronger but is it more of a chassis limitation or GM being mildly retarded that they didn't consider it in the first place?
there's northstar vehicles with that trans going 200+k without a problem...i think it's be a nice fit with the little 5.3L...
oh, since it's a LSx based design has anyone gotten antsy with stroker options yet?

I think Northstars have completely different chassis/engine setups so I imagine the modifications to the car would have raised the price too much. Much cheaper to upgrade the 4T65HD and throw it in there. Hopefully they will hold up. Im trying like hell to break mine before 36000.
Ive though an LS2 block would be a nice upgrade... but thats just dreaming. Maybe after I get it paid off which won't be anytime soon.
