Default Kill List

Hi all:

I don't see this thread anywhere, so I thought it would be fun to keep a running list of the cars we've run with - and the results win or lose. As this list grows we'll have a great body of knowledge for future encounters. My Impala is still too green with under 500 miles. So....what have you beat?

Cheers,
Charles

No much worth mentioning. So far I have been unable to get a 350Z, 6.0L GTO, or a couple mustangs to race. Why do people buy fast car if they just ease around everywhere??? I guess no one wants to race a 4 door family car.

Did get some big guy on a cruiser to race, not sure what kind. I kinda figured he would leave me in the dust, but I outran him easily... twice. That was more just messing around than racing though.

Hopefully after removing the retarded 3500 neutral rev limiter and getting the exhaust redone I can tempt some people into racing.

The one time I let my dad drive it a 02-03ish corvette passed us on a big open country road. Since my dad didn't know what the hell he was doing, the corvette easily passed. I would have at least made them work a little harder for it.

Nothing spashy yet...my kills include a couple maxima's and altimas, an X and S-type jag (4.0's), ton's of "tuned" rice, that's fosho. I'm a left-lane driver...even if i know i need to make the next right, so i get a lot of the "oh no you ain't passin me" when we leave the stoplight, only to be sittiing, waiting to make the right at the next light looking at them in the RVM.

I know there were a few more kills on the list...i'll think back a while ; )

Here is a response from another forum that's also running a list. This guy has an '06 Grand Prix GXP.

Wins-
-LT1 Camaro (auto)- not really all that close. We ran from about 50-95 and I had him by a good car length to another 1/4 car.
-Charger R/T- VERY close. I pulled on him because he got no traction (fool just mashed the pedal and spun the tires) we ran to about 100 and I maintained a 1/2 car length on him. If we had gone further he would have pulled even.
-03 style GTP- talked to him after, he had 3.4, fwi, dhp and mufflers. I beat him the most easily. It was about 2 car lengths to 90 or so when I quit. I was still pulling when I shut down.

So there you have it!

OK, sad to say, I spanked an '05 Impala SS on the freeway this afternoon. Sorry to do that to a brother car, but he was all over my back bumper pushing me. I pulled him up to 100+ and was pulling away when he backed down. Never did get a chance to see him again. Sorry guy!

Hmm, good kills. I may have to go test drive one of the GXPs.

I've got a couple of kills ON GXPs and one on an SS in my 98 GTP, but I'm a LOOOOONG way from stock.

So far I have beat with my stock 06 Impala SS; a WRX with exhaust, CL-S (auto), 350Z (6 speed), and a Mustang Mach 1.

Oops! Took on a Dodge Charger and he had me by a nose til 80 or so. Was a rolling start and very unscientific, but he had me all the way up the ramp!

My list includes a Hemi Magnum, 300C, IS350 (and the Pacifica in the other lane ), a BMW 3 series (don't know which one), Miata (she just had to go), and several idiots in various cars who tried to speed up and block me from a lane.

I also feel ashamed but I also was raced a 04-05 Impala SS and took him to 110 and hes was back some ways. Also played with my friends LT1 ex-cop car (sweet ride) and walked him by. Unfortunitly raced an 06 Stang GT with intake and exhaust but he only walked by me about a car length and a half once he wound out third gear so I was happy I kept up that much in a quarter mile.

The Mach 1 must have been an auto. The 5 speeds will do a mid to low 13 second 1/4 mile while the Auto's will struggle to get out of the 14's. Biggest difference from auto to stick I've ever seen. Anyway impressive list, I pick my Impy today and I can't wait to start driving it.

The Mach 1 was an old school early 70's Mustang completely restored with a 351 cu V-8 and a 4 speed. I don't know what year it was exactly. The guy didn't want to talk after I think he was embarased that he lost to the SS.

Ahh I see. I automatically assumed it was an newer MACH 1. Picked up my Impala today and can't wait to start driving it all of the time. I drove 1 hour and 15 minutes back from where I bought it and when I got home I dropped off my wife and 10 month old daughter and really took it for a ride. It was nice to be back behind the wheel of something with some nut, as I traded my 04 F150 for it (which I traded my Camaro for in late 2003). In my time I've owned an 87 Delta 88 (big deal), and 86 TA, a 98 Mustang GT, an 01 Z28 and an 04 F150. The only one I really miss is the Z28, boy did I love that thing, and I'm sure I will miss the truck at times where it would come in handy. I hope the this Impala takes away the slight sour taste I have in my mouth for trading in my Z28. I've always said that if I could pass it off as a nive family sedan to my wife, I'd buy one. It worked.

Add an LT1 Z28 to the list. Took him by more than a car length from a 5 mph roll to 120 mph.

Add a Chevelle SS 396 to the kill list. I raced a sweet looking SS396 tonight I talked to the guy at a red light and told him that he had an awesome car. He said if you like it know you'll love it when the light turned green. It did, and he smoked the tires off the line so I smoked him. Wheel spin looses races. He gave a thumbs up and went on. I hit around 75 mph before I had to turn off the road. It would have been close even with out his wheel spin because when he got it to hook up the SS396 was not gaining.

May I ask what was done to your car? My boss has on 04 Maurader stock and after driving LS4 car *loved it* I'd think stock for stock the Ford would beat you.
