What vehicles is the LS4 available in?
How similar is it to an LS1/6?

As for aftermarket cranks, I don't know of one. However, I guess that someone that is creative could make one. The length change is all in the nose of the crank and the flexplate mounting flange. So, I'm thinking that someone could have those to areas machined shorter by the appropriate lengths. All the other dimensions are common to the LSX architecture.

It is a front wheel drive car... a T56 sticking out through the front drivers side quarter panel wouldn't be very appealing.
LOL
