i need your help, if you want to experiement on tranny shifting.

how fast and firm can you get the 1-2 shift at wot?
how much trq mngment are you using to get this?
whats the line pressure?

why am i asking? well, i can't drive through the 1-2 shift at wot on the bottle. and it's a rather slow shift on motor.

the 2-3 shift i can drive through on the bottle and it chirps the tires. just trying to get the car set up to run dr's and be able to use them without anything goofy happening

You are probably overworking the 'grabbing' ablity of the 2nd gear when shifting on the bottle if I am reading your question right. Looking at my scans I got the impression that post shift on a stock motor with 50% TM removed that there was a bit of slippage going into 2nd looking at the recorded rpm scans. I have my car at 33% of the TM removed in shifts, rpm scans look good to me at that level. Max line pressure is whatever the stock 'max' is, and shifting pressures I have at +10%, seems to make a nice shift to me. You gotta realize that these things stock have the timing at 10 degrees after TDC during shifts, the tranny is that weak apparently. On a bottle, well, my take is 'be careful'. Do you have HPT?

so basically throwing more torque managment into the system and bumping the line pressure up a bit would actually help it shift faster. i have access to hpt, but my car is not tuned with it. im working with a tuner to get it done. motor section is happy, just not the tcm side. slowly gettin there. im half *** trying to predict what it's going to do on dr's when i put them on there. i may have to end up doing a window switch on this sucker
argh.
