My opinions....

I had the resonator removed today and I like the outcome very much. Makes the exhaust note a lot better. I liked the way it was before but I like it alot more now. Reminds me of an old muscle car now. I personally would not spend the money on an aftermarket exhaust system. The only thing about our exhaust I do not like is the flat tube that the exhaust tips are connected to. For those wanting more exhaust note I would just remove the resonator first and then decide if you need more rumble. I just don't.

I can't wait for my FWI now....

take it to a exhaust shop, have them make you a replacement pipe, remove the rez and install the replacement.

I think it would be the same for the Monte SS. I am not sure what kind of mufflers a Monte has but I am quite sure the rest of the exhaust is the same. I would remove it then see what you like. I love the sound. It doesn't drone on the highway either, which is nice.
