Default Look what happenned to my Imp

Happenned traveling south on I5 through Stockton on Tuesday 3/13 around 8:00am. Truck in the far lane hit the truck in front of him while turning the wheel and swerved into my lane and hit his front bumper against my rear quarter panel. Been in the shop since then and will be for another 2-3 weeks and its gonna cost $13k to fix. Meanwhile I am using my T/A as my commuter car. Wish I could figure out a way to get paid out of the situation.

That truck smacked you pretty good. Don't put miles on your TA, get a rental and make the truck's insurance company pay for it. Let their insurance company know that the Imp was your only means of transportation and you need a rental.

Yep, they will be getting me a rental, but everything got postponed until they police report was available which it now is. So anyday now I should be getting a rental. I'm also trying to get them to pay for my missed day of work.

Make sure you try to get Dimunition of Value. In some states, the insurance company has to compensate you for any value lost, due to the $13,000 worth of damage.

You can get paid all you need to know is "Oh, my neck!" "Oh, my back!" "Oh, my neck and my back!"

Sorry to hear about that ... glad you walked away. I hate when my good cars get hit, whenever I had beaters they never did.

Definitely have a good look over the uni, as it popped the quarter pretty good. Had a used '91 Buick GS, got under to do an oil change and noticed the torn holes from being stretched. Was pissed.

What was the estimated speed of impact?
