Default Good Guesses

So with everything we are doing to our cars now does anyone have a good guess as to how much power we would be putting to the ground if we have done them all except a cam?

counting everything......exhaust, intake, tune, rollers, and anything else i am shure i missed.

stock is around 245....so with the current bolt-on's (and I consider rockers/springs to be a bolt-on) and a proper tune, I would say you are looking at an honest 280 WHP

My head service tech at work said I'm at 275-280 and I "DON'T" have rockers........yet.
But I'm sure you are close to that 280 honestly too. Would love to see 300 but I think we may break something.

Time to go see MR. DYNO!!!!!!!!!

I was suppossed to get on a dyno yesterday, but my local car club had to re-schedule it. I should have some numbers within the next month though.

Some things I'd love to see come out performance wise:

1. STS turbo kit (or other forced induction system)
2. Decent TCM programer
3. True Duals exhuast
4. Headers
5. Heads/Cam
6. Better CAI options (I have the K&N....not my favorite )
7. Decent springs/struts than lower the car
8. Intake options (FAST?)

I agree but I don't know if the drive line could handle that torque of the sts turbo system.But I guess you could run low boost or beef up the drive line.

I would give the tune more then a CAI. and i dont see the magnaflow giving us an actual 15 whp even though they claim something like that.

I agree with both of you kpssmonte and Nikon02, but like we have all said, IT'S A GUESS untill one of us puts it on a dyno, I will in 3 weeks. We have a new one going in here in town. yeppy!!!!

I dont see the CAI guving 15hp, maybe 10-11??

that's what I'm thinking Nikon2. Everything done with out the cam and 100% octane (expensive), 300....maybe. How many people have done the cam? What kind of performance and times are they getting with it. COST????

For what it's worth, I know that when the GXP was getting ready to come out a few people got to go and meet with the designers and engineers to beat on the car for like 2 days. One of the D/E's said that there was another 25WHP locked up in the exhaust side of the house. Now that probably means Headers/exhaust not just a catback itself. And when the tunes started for the cars didn't someone dyno prove the wester tune good for like 13WHP? And we all know that you can get more out of a car with a personal tune vs. a canned tune. So it "could" break down like this.
Intake-10WHP
Catback-10WHP
Tune-13-20WHP
Headers if someone would ever make them-15WHP
That would be around 290-300WHP without opening up the engine any. And if rockers/pushrods/springs are good for around 15WHP then that would give you 310-315WHP without a cam.

Well I dyno Saterday at 254 HP with only a K & N intake on it fyi, Now I just need to post the dyno sheet up now.

If I had to estimate gains they would be more like:

245 Stock + 10-15 for exhaust and CAI + 5-10 for tune ~ 265
K&N shows 13.48hp increase and the can diablo tune is 17whp not sure about exhaust.But where you live can change these so I guess we will have to wait and see.
