Got Killed by a CTS-V today. I wasn't surprised, and I guess I shouldn't have even tried, but it was still fun. I was doing about 65mph on the highway and a black CTS-V pulled up beside me, motioning for me to go. So I did, it kicked down to 2nd and I got a little jump, but before I even hit 80 he went sailing by me. I let out at about 100 and he was many carlengths ahead of me. Time for some mods

V12? The CTS-V has a 400hp LS6 or if '06+ a 400hp LS2.
I almost got one of those instead of my Impala but decided to save the difference towards a new Camaro.
Which caddy has the V12 then? I could have swore i saw a CTS-V at my Dealer with the V12 badges...
EDIT: guess not...just looked up the specs and they're all V8's, huh? The STS-V is closer to 500 horses, though...470 or something like that.
EDIT: and i guess i always misinterpreted the badge, too. IMO, it looks like a "V" with a "1" and a "2" trailing it. Sure those color combinations mean something, i just don't know what.

Damn, too bad it wasn't me. My V is in Cali right now sitting under a car cover. Luckfully I talked Avis into renting me a 2007 Impala SS with the 5.3L. I'm in search of some free mods while I have this thing. Anyone know of any free mods I can do to this SS while I have it?

I live in Ca and work in Utah, I just need to bring my GTP out here. A co-worker is talking a lot of **** in his Audi S4. I need to shut him up...
As for the dry nitrous, I would have to say that's out of the question. How do I explain to my company that I blew the engine on a 2007 Impala SS with less than 1k miles on it...

Get an SRT-8 Grand Cherokee. You will whoop him off the line (AWD) and hang with him through the quarter. He has six gears, Jeep has 4 I believe. Caddy 0-60 in 5.1 quarter in 13.4 @ 105/Jeep 0-60 in 4.4 lowest quarter I've seen is 13.1 at 101-105. This all depends on the drivers (Also clutch vs. auto). BIG weight diff.

lol if you think a dry nos kit is ganna blow a brand new LS4 then your sadly mistaking. Just use a 150 nozzle and you can spray all day without any problems. Might make the longevity of the engine lower but not blown. Just get a throttle body spacer drill a hole in it and put the nozzle in there. when your done take the spacer out and its like new agian.

The 2009 CTS-V should be bad ***, they are saying 525 hp or more. They have some info at Autoweek.

Played around on the streets couple a days ago with a CTS-v, came to a stop I'm on my 06GXP(mods=only a drop in K&N flat filter)He was to the right of me and he revs his engine at me 2times I rev back and the race is on,I put my car into TAP-SHIFT,turn off TC and prepare myself. Then suddenly the green light lights up and we light up he got a better jump screeching his tires and roaring his exhaust in front of me,(about 1 car length) once I stopped my wheel spin felt it grip real hard and pulled right next to him fast, nose4nose up to 98mph then I slowed down my left turn was comming up. Funny that mighty Ls2/Ls6 couldn't walk on me. I look at him and he had suprised face,I think he thought that I was a V6. He may take me on the freeway or 1/4mi strip but he won't take me close quarter stoplight to stoplight combat!! Love these V8 sleepers that are dressed in V6 skin, My point to this story is if you want to beat GOLIATH then fight were your best at 0-90 is all torqe for us.
