Pull the white plastic rectangle looking thingy up and remove the hex screw, then wiggle it out. Pretty easy to do.

Does it make a difference? Has anyone tested it.

I had asked this same question a long time ago. The answer from someone who was consistent and did it back to back was no.

I don't know if your referring to me. but I did try it and it didn't help, best overall run (by a small margin) was actually with the head light in. I have a totally stock intake.

My car slowed up .3 tenths by putting the headlight back in with my under hood air intake this last time at the track... Gotta new intake on the way.

For the Impala/MC, it's in the manual. Section 5, pp.48-50. It's gotta be in yours, i'd think. Look for "Bulb Replacement" and it should give you illustrated instructions.

If you haven't already done so, sign up for MyGMlink.com and download your manual in PDF. You can click on the page and go right to it. Nice!

With the stock intake sucking air right at the fender getting decent air already, removing the head light didn't help. Now I just installed the k&n and the air the engine now gets seems like it would have to be warmer than with stock. Now I wonder if removeing the head light with a k&n would help, and more importantly if a k&n is even worth it. It may flow more, but more bad air. I'm just wondering if the k&n is just a bunch of hot air. I think I would go with the CAI along with a bellows eliminator between the tb and maf.

lemme know what you get/use for a bellows eliminator... I've been trying to find something to do this as well... that still allows for that black tube on top of the bellows to still be attached...

slp has what looks to be a bellows that looks like it may fit. It's listed for an 04 w body using ther cold air kit. But the smooth elbow is why I went with the k&n in the first place. I may have been a mistake, we'll see.
