Default Rockers

I have been reading on rocker installs that people have done on there 05,06,07 LS4 motors. I see people using yellow terra, hs rockers, and crane cam rockers. So should I use 1.8 ratio also which of those 3 are better and does it void any warranty? or do I switch them out with the factory ones if anything ever happened

Cheers,

Roger

from the dyno's I have seen. The YT and HS 1.8 rockers will get you around 13 horses and the Crane's about 19 (if your springs are up to the task). It is likely that your warranty on the engine and the transmission will be a problem should you ever try to exercise it after changing the springs/rockers. The YT and HS rockers could easily be swapped back to stock, the Crane's use different studs (and after locktite) would be a serious chore to pull them back out to go to stock.

if you don't intend to rev it beyond the stock shift points, it will probably be ok. I am doing the same, intend to pop for springs later in the Summer, see how much difference is makes.

My vote would be for the Yella Terra's with some oil-restricted pushrods. The pushrods have a smaller metering hole so the lifter stays pumped up full of oil to prevent any valve float. This set-up is about 499.00. You would have to e-mail Intense-Racing.com to get them as they are not on thier website yet. Some people on here had to grind the Harland's down so they didn't hit the back of the head. Yella Terra's are non-adjustable so all you have to do is torque them down and go. Crane's are adjustable but can be a pain in the a$$ if the adjustment is off. The Yella Terra's are lighter than the rest too. Whatever you pick, good luck with them.

I went with the Crane cam, were not done yet with the install. Yes there are one massive pain in the ***, because you have to put the valve covers on, injectors, spark plugs etc 5-7 times to get them adjusted. I will be done tommorow and update you how they run.
