Default Corroded negative battery terminal, already??

so, I was futzin' around under the hood last night, and noticed some white "fuzz" on the top of the negative battery cable terminal... so I disconnected it, and sure as ****, the whole underside of the terminal was coated with the white fuzz...

Battery is only 9 months old - the top of the battery is dry, nothing on it, no leaks anywhere - it's only on the cable terminal... the underside of it and also inside the hole where it goes over the post... there were a couple spots on the post as well.

I scraped it off, gave it a light sanding, put it back on and cranked it down tight.

Anything to be concerned with here??

Probably more to do with your climate than anything else.
