Default Scratches/Scuffs in Headlight

Anyone here think it's possible to remove scuffs & scratches from our headlights?

I just paid $150 for a pair of "good used headlights" and they're $h!t...scuffed and scratched and not what i expected. The seller is claiming that these are their idea of "good used condition" as they were not NOS. BS!

Anyway, do you think wetsanding from 400 to 4000 would do it? These were my "Blackout" project lights anyway, but i don't know if i should spend the money to ship these back or try to fix them myself and just eat it. I'm really disappointed, as i had hoped to do this mod before the weekend and now i need to figure this sh&t out.

**Not to mention it took two weeks to get me the damn things **

Go to www.eastwood.com they have some products there. I don't know if it would be worth spending an extra $20 to $30 for what you already paid though.

Mothers plastic polish always worked good for me, but if your talking of wetsanding, they may be too far gone for the plastic polish. The wetsanding would work if you want to invest the time.

Thanks. I do think they're way to far gone for the plastic polish. I may sand these and tint them and sell them on eBay...someone will buy them, for sure.
