Default Help with amp hookup

I just looked around the forum here and didn't see this addressed anywhere, please let me know if i missed it. I just got an Infinity Basslink 10" self powered sub (http://manuals.harman.com/INF/CAR/Ow...sLink%20om.pdf) and need to know about the factory speaker wires. This unit is made to accept speaker-level inputs (as opposed to RCA-type), and i know i have to tap into them after the factory amp.

Does anyone know which wires they are coming out of the amp under the back deck? I tried to trace them to the speakers, but its a bit hard, esp. the front speakers, and i need all 4.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

You didn't state which car, but I assume it's an SS Monte or Impala. If you have Bose, then you can reference my post I made at NAIOA.com.

How to wire a sub

If you looking for a full range signal, you won't find it off the amp. You can pick the Mid-Highs, and the Subwoofer output.

Yeah, sorry its an 06 Monte SS with the premium sound option. The amp is stamped "made by Panasonic", is this still considered a BOSE system?

EDIT: Also: I thought there were 8 speakers? GM's option that was checked on my invoice says "Audio system feature, , uplevel 8-speaker system (U87)"
I will try to get a pic of the amp and post after work.
Thanks!!

Probably not, but I doubt GM used a whole different wiring color code for it. Take a picture if you can, I'll tell you how similar it is to the Bose. If not, and you find the colors, they just tap in and see how it goes.

The Bose system is in-fact 8 seperate speakers. I can't vouch for the Monte system.

Most people think the Rear deck speakers are Coax, but they are actually two seperate speakers, once next to the other, mounted to a plate. The Rear 6x9 subs run on their own channel, while the mid (I'd guess 4") runs on its own. The subs are crossed over internally in the amp, the same with the rear high channels. The fronts are obvious, 6.5" mid range, and the pillar tweeters. Though I assume that the fronts have a in-line crossover for the tweeters, or the tweets run off the headunits internal amp.

Right now I have two amps hooked up with a PAC OEM-2 adapter right off the Bose amp. One is for my single JL 10" sub, the other goes to a Zapco Studio amp. I don't have the speakers in the doors yet, though the amp is completely ready to go, I ran out of time to get the door skins off. Hopefully this weekend of next I'll get to that. But I have a set of Pioneer 6 3/4's 3-ways to go there. All this stuff came out of my past two Z28's that I used to have, so I'm not looking to spend much money on it all.

Yes, I used those. Actually on mine, I only used one, because i'm running a single sub, but if you run a two channel sub setup, then you'll need both.
