Installation instructions for CAI intake I just purchased a used CAI box for my 06 impala ss. The unit did not come with installation instructions, it doesn't look too hard to install but would like to be on the safe side. If anybody has a copy of the instructions could you E-mail them to me or post them. If not how bout some tips on installation from some that have already preformed this task.

Got the instructions from the company, time to install. Haven't had the time between work and new baby, but I am off this weekend and will give it a shot. By the way does the CAI sound better under the hood? I know it did on some of my other vehicles. This car is sometimes too quiet.

After some self fabrication and spare screws in my garage, my install is complete. Sounds really good when you get on it, but the car is still alitte too quiet, next project may be the res delete.

I can hear mine at startup - has a slight whistle under the hood and can hear the air being sucked in from the front grill... and when inside the car, you can hear a deeper engine tone when on the gas...

it's intake related... cuz totally stock, mine was quiet... as soon as I started it up after installing the CAI, I had the slight whistle and deeper engine tone.
As I said to Taz in a PM... when I installed mine, I removed the negative battery cable for about 20 mins to clear out the "learned" AFR/amount of airflow. then reconnected it and started it up. This lets the ECM relearn and readjust to the new increase in airflow.
