OnStar My OnStar first monthly check found a problem with the back up battery for the OnStar it self. Is this common? I hate to bring my car in for service.

never heard of, nor experienced that one... and I've had 3 vehicles with OnStar...

On all 3 of my Monte Carlo's, the red light would come on and then go off after 3-5 mins of driving after the year trial was over with. I wonder if its a way for OnStar to check your system or maybe its just a common problem with it.

Its funny how they remind you at the worst of times by showing the red light and making you think there is something really wrong with the system, when all it could be is a " reminder to pay us some money to turn the light to green"
