rock chips in glass
Anybody else with tiny chips on their glass?
From my admittedly small sample of two cars, they seem to be very prone to this type of damage. No way GM could have missed this in their test mule cars. My '95 went a couple hundred thousand miles without a nick in the 'shield. This one is only at 18K and change.
Seems to be a design flaw. Maybe a hundred thousand or so ticked off owners can get GM to replace the glass when it finally does break. (seems a safety issue to me)

Yes, i have a million and one teeny-tiny rock chips in my windshield too. I've been meaning to give the windshield a good claying and a follow up with 0000 steel wool and some liquid glass to see what that does. The side windows are shot due to the window wipes being all crudded up (there's a service bulletin on that, though...so i'll likely get all 4 replaced (with new tint)).
I have Geico and made sure to get the "Full Glass" coverage with my comprehensive coverage...$0 deductible. If/when i ever get a good chip in the window, i may make it spiderweb and get a new one installed.
