Default Invoice for 06 Monte Carlo SS

For those of you who have 06's, what was the invoice? What did you pay?

The local Chevy dealer has 2 untitiled 06's on their lot. I was thinking about going up there and seeing what sort of deal they might have. I really want a GTO, but if I could get a new car for a decent price, I might just do it and wait for the new Camaro.

Any thoughts and prices would be great.

FWIW, 07 invoice is $28,900, so I'm guessing 06 is probably $28,500.

That's very interesting!

I emailed the dealership, so we'll see what they say. I doubt it'll be very cheap, otherwise I doubt they'd still be sitting on the lot. It'd have to be a killer deal for me to consider.

Thanks for the info!

I wrote him back stating that it just wasn't as amazing of a deal I would have expected for a leftover that's 2 years old.

He emailed back asking what I thought would be a fair price. I told him $15k I just can't see myself in a MC. Why couldn't they have have made it RWD and 6 speed! I love the lines (and I prefer Chevy's), but I just don't know if it'd satisfy me enough to be able to wait for the new Camaro.

Thats a good starting point, but if you don't see yourself in a monte, don't bother. They are great cruisers and DDs, but not track cars....

It's not even so much about taking the car to the track, but I want to be able to mod it and enjoy it. I really do like the 06/07 MC's, but since it's my only car, I just don't think I'd be happy enough. Such a tough decision. Brand new car with full warranty or car with more go fast potential.

If it wasn't for the fact of price-gouging, I think it's alright... for a Mustang

Mustangs are high priced and cheap looking. Plastic 3m stuck on overlays in the interior. Seams don't line up. Plastic stuck on fake hood scoops. Not for me.

It's their flagship performance car and for $60,000 you get a 12-sec car?

I think its bullcrap!

I guess you're not taking into consideration what happens when the modifications begin.

OTOH, what does this have to do with Montes?
