Low power steering fluid
Low power steering fluid Had a noise, thought oh no tranny. Ending up being low on power steering fluid, fluid was below the filtering screen that can be seen in the resovoir. Not even touching dipstick. Only 9000 miles on the car, no leaks. Anybody else have this problem?
There was/is a bulletin on this issue. The pressure line was bursting in the colder climates. The parts were on significant backorder but should be readily available atm. Definitely get it in there soon.
On a related note, i've got what i believe is a PS whine now (even after the TSB some time ago). It's whining all the time now. Doesn't get worse when turning, but is just there...so it's possible it might be another belt-driven accessory...but it doesn't get worse with speed either.
Just another thing to go on my neverending list of issues i have yet to deal with!
