need quick help how do you remove the rear speakers on a 06 monte carlo ss? i can get the grills half way off but the other half seems stuck. thanks

You'll probably have to remove the whole rear deck. I used to install professionally and on alot of cars the grilles don't come off. Now, I haven't worked on that car yet, but that could be the case. If so be carefull with the rear defrost tabs and you might have to remove all the paneling around the window. Good luck!

I wanted to paint my grills back when i first got the car and saw the tabs beneath the deck. I think they're just for show. 
Looking at them, it appears they'd be easy to get off...but they're not.
Just wondering...What does taking the deck off do to make this any easier?
