Default Question for those of you with Hogan DP.

I'm thinking about picking up a Hogan DP with the high flow cat, how will this work with my stock catback? I've already removed the resonator, and it sounds pretty good like that, but a little more noise would be fine. I'm not really interested in a catback at this point, too much money. From a performance/cost standpoint, would this be worth doing?

Thanks

it sure would.....the sound should be louder - and you will feel the performance gain...go for it.

I would think so. I have the high flow cat pipe and also the magnaflow catback and am very pleased with that setup. Even without a catback, the stock dp is still the most restrictive part of the exhaust, so replacing it with the hogan would def help the flow. After I put mine on I noticed the car pulled a lot harder in the higher rpm ranges. It also made the exhaust slightly louder and gave it more of an edge.

With the hogan high flow cat downpipe, min the res and a GOOD cat/back exhaust system, you will notice "ALITTLE" more sound, but not much. Trust me, I was hoping for alot more when I got it, but you wont. Now when you get on the gas more, you will hear alittle more sound, but not much. The only real way of opening up the sound on these cars would be headers, but they are still alittle bit away from production.

How hard was the DP install? When i was under there bolting up the MF catbacl, i took a look up there. Seems hard to get to the necessary fasteners to loosen/tighten them up...

Stop making me salivate for headers!

The install was a little tricky, but all you really need is a good socket wrench with a long extension attachment, some pb blaster to help loosen the bolts, and some muscle. Having access to a lift would definately help but I was able to do the install by just putting the front of the car on stands. You also have to remove the oxygen sensor from the oem pipe and put it in the new one. Other than that its not too bad.

Buff,
just like what 87 said about the install. It only took me about 20 mins, but again my car only had 600+ miles on it, so most of the things were still new.
