Hey guys..My mom just bought an o7 Monte SS a week ago and I was wondering what kinda 1/4 miles time this turns stock? Definently alot quicker than I thought it would be for sure!! Whats the best mod to due to these cars to pick up alittle bit more?? Thanks!

 

Guess they would be pretty close to the Imp, which Car and Driver tested at 14.2. In the real world the times have really varied some people in the mid 14's and some people have ripped off some high 13's runs stock.

 

High 13's with a good launch and traction are entirely possible stock.

 

I agree. I ran 14.30's consistently, with crappy launches/ no traction, at our local tracks grudge night. On a prepped track it would've been low 14's high 13's easy.

 

Yeah, it took me a while to learn how to launch this car, but with some practice, I could rip 13.7s consistently all day long stock.

 

I think I'm taking mine to the track next month since I sold the 22s. I doubt I will run any better than 14s though. I hate trying to launch FWD cars, and the stock RSAs aren't going to help any. But I can bet that I'll be the only LS4 vehicle there.
