Default Other intake manifold options

So after all the screwing around I've been doing trying to get the LS6 intake to work (almost there), I come across this picture on another thread of the GMPP carb sytle intake fitted to an LS2.

Hood clearance looks like it would be a major issue with this particular set-up, but other issues regarding DOD connectors, Oil pressure sending units, fitting a 90mm TB (if so inclined) don't appear to exist. Just add $$$.

Hmmmmm, maybe there's a carb style manifold that matches the rev range for a DD that comes pre drilled for injectors with the right spacing for the stock fuel rail, shorter elbow....google.....

This is the type of IM that I would put on my turbo LS4, combined with a nice Cowl hood it would be SWEET!!

Well, you could use the carb'd intake, and then buy a custom plenum to your specs from intakeelbows.com. (not sure if they sponsor this site, so if the web address gets removed from my post, just pm me)

I've had them build several for me and they are works of art. It was the only way I could keep everything under the hood.

FWIW, they also custom build fuel rails....

Yup, get something like that with the IM, custom rails tapping into the stock fuel system....easy

Now if only I could find a money tree.....lol

Yea...I bought those back when I had a little money. Not so much the case anymore...

They do make this little guy to fit those carb style intake now... However fitting the god damn tb is still an enigma and will require a spacer with the right bolt pattern for or pee-wee tb's or drilling and tapping the mounting face. The LS6 with a custom TB mount is still the most cost effective route.

Well that's an interesting pic. Looks like three different TB bolt patterns on it.

I think this manifold will work with the Edelbrock Bellow. It wouldn't be to hard to drill and tap the mounting flange to adapt. Eldelbrock has another bellow that they said will clear an F-body hood, so I don't think hood clearance will be too much of an issue. I'm pretty sure the DOD will become useless. I believe this could be done for the price of a FAST intake so I'm not to worried about the money, and if the hood won't close then I'll drive my car with no hood this summer. The manifold would be killer with some 3.69's and no DOD.

Also, if the manifold doesn't work, then It would be a quick sell.

So a GMMP or Victor JR intake will fit an LS4? Provided i get the EFI intake? I am not worried about clearence of anything as its going into a dune buggy.

Haven't heard of anyone mounting one on a LS4. Might be worried about how useful a Victor Jr. is for a DD due to the short runners.

I'm running it with my the setup in my sig. Drives beautiflly and my setup is pretty darn agressive. I see close to 20mpg with it. I am going to swap the intake over from my firebird first and see if it fits. It it does them im going to order an msd 6012 box and make it run carbed!
