I have acquired my 3" catless downpipe but don't know what to do for avoidance of an SES light from lack of a rear sensor. The emulators ZZP sells worked flawlessly on my 98' GTP but I am not sure if they will work with my Impala. I e-mailed them for an answer. Has anyone else done this? Are there any other products out there available to accomplish the same task?

I just received a response from ZZP noting that "they don't think" their emulator will work. I am a tuning know-nothing. It looks like I will have to buy some sort of power tuner which, is no big deal but who is reputable to tune in my general area? I am in Toledo, Ohio (northwest OH). Thanks for all help and input.

2003 and back models had an O2 sim that worked.
In 2004, GM changed the O2 in the rear and there are no sims at this time that will work. If you plug it in, you will end up throwing the code no matter what.
Either get HP tuners and Disable it or get a canned tune from Vector Motorsports and have them delete the codes.

Make sure you tell them to delete the cat. conv. efficeincy codes AND the voltage/heater codes for the 2nd 02 sensor. Will save you a 2nd trip and/or not having to put an 02 bung in your down pipe and reinstall the 2nd 02 sensor.

Check out Mike @ www.MilzyMotorsports.com I think he does tuning...and he's been interested in developing headers for this car for a long time. He is VERY reputable in the 3800 V6 community and does great work. He's in Miamisburg, OH

X2 for Milzy. Great guy, but I dont think he has done any LS4s yet. I was going to have him help me tune my car, but I got really sick and couldnt meet up with him. He knows his stuff.

Thank you for all the awsome responses. I sent an e-mail to milzy requesting their tuning services. I wouldn't have a problem being a guinea pig car either so we will see what they respond with. I already love this message board, little to no BS or drama... reminds me alot of the SHOforum I frequent. No stupid ricers/know it all youngsters to get into arguments with. Just good responses.
