To those with Water pump issues:
To those with Water pump issues: Did your water pump make a noise when it was going out?
Since I got my GXP back from the tranny shop for a rebuild, it makes a weird noise (most but not all of the time) when I come to a complete stop. It mostly does it in drive, but sometimes in park as well. When I accelerate from the stop, it "catches--it's kind of a pumping/grinding sound--and goes away. BC it mostly doesn't do it in park, I have a hard time getting out of the car to investigate. Today it did it in park (oh, and it always does it after I drive around for a little while) so I got to pop the hood and listen. I couldn't tell exactly where it was coming from, but I'm thinking either the water pump, ps pump or something in the tranny. I have brought it to the tranny shop (one of the best in the south) for the owner to listen to, but of course it wouldn't do it when we got it up on the lift. He did hear it, though, he just needs me to return when he can look for it. I'm at a loss.
Sorry for the long post, it's just extremely irritating bc I know something is wrong, just couldn't tell ya' what it is.
