Question Scuffed gloss black windshield trim

So i was cleaning my car today and noticed that i have a section on the gloss black windshield trim that is really really scuffed. It looks really bad. Anyway, anyone know anything that will removed the scuffed/scratches from the gloss black rubber trim? Or does anyone know how much it would be to replace it?

I haven't had much luck getting scuffs like that out, nothing seems to work ( for me at least). Ask your local glass shop how much a new molding would be, probably cheaper there than getting it right through GM.

Can you get me a picture of what trim you're talking about? I've got a pretty current parts list that I can get you a price from.

It's likely from hitting it with the snow brush during the winter.

And for those of you in the south, that's when rain (you know what THAT is, right?) gets REAL cold in the air and turns to very fine pieces of ice and lands on the ground. You need to wipe it off the car in order to see.

I used a lot of Back to black on it and it seemed to help, so I guess i'm just going to leave, especially since everyone seems to have some problem like this and it will probably happen again (and I can spend my money on other neat things for the car).

Mine also has some of those little pits some of the black trim. It seems that Gm just can't get black trim to stay nice. I had a similar problem on my old 02 Blazer xtreme by the rear windows. Oh well!

I dont understand how it happens with the way the air flows over the car i would expect it on the front window but the side windows ???? the pits are .5mm deep
