You have no say in what looks good or bad. To think that you actually spent money on that pos, and then bash a good looking 4 or 2 dr. sedan is just ridiculous. Its comfortable, powerful, (for what it is), and looks good. Do you ever think that maybe, just maybe, people buy their cars for their needs or likes? Does a Toyota Minivan have any heritage whatsoever? OR should people just buy Magnums, because they are the best cars in the world according to you? No, families buy minivans to haul their kids. See why that arguement makes no sense? A cars heritage only matters to certain people, and just because you think it is valid, doesn't mean everyone does. No one cares what you have to say apparently, so why don't you go post somewhere else.

 

back to the impala ss what is the best anyone has done with one stock.

We had one at our tbssnationals a rent a car with like 4300 miles on it and it couldnt break 13s.

My rent a car which was a bone stock AWD hemi charger. Yes a hemi charger awd model ran a 13.9@99 stock. FOr this year national tbss meet i rented a hertz corvette and doing a 150 shot on it.

Cool video, but somebody should tell shitman that not many agree with his opinion of our cars. If they sucked so bad, why would y'all have even rented it, much less included it in that video. Awesome burnout at the end of that BTW.

I'm not sure how much you know about the LS4s, but getting them to grip off the line involves a pretty flat learning curve. So, it's not surprising y'all weren't able to get close to 13s, it being a rental and all.

 

The car ran a 14.003@99 with the exhaust on the awd charger. taking off the exhaust was good for less than .1 and less than 1/2 mph.

We rented it cause we heard all this talk about it and how it beats chargers so we rented both and well there is no way it beat the awd charger. maybe the 2wd charger is slower???

on a freeway roll with 2 people in my car we ran from 40-120 and pulled easy on that impala. Also another member brought his wifes impala ss to the track and he was running 14.40s also he had 8k miles and bone stock. SO i find it hard to believe all these guys are beating the chargers very easily.

 

IDK about the impalas but I pull r/t really easily. I raced a SRT8 and he only had me by a car at 100 but I wasn't stock when I raced him. Our cars respond extremely well to tunes. Did you guys have any stock tbss run that day? If so what were the times. I am looking into getting one sense my monte got totaled.

 

the charger srt8s trap 108 stock out here and seen the mcss trap 100 stock. Dont see how you were with him cuase 8 mph is a lot of mph especaily on a roll.

Im not sure what they run with a tune just the fwd thing i dont really trust on them. I wish gm made them rwd then that would be a killer. I dont see any of the fwd cars here in the 11s let alone 12s with just only bolt ons. has anyoen gone 12s in these cars with just bolt ons or even 11s.

 

1 guy hit a 13.0 with rockers, push rods, tune, down pipe, exhaust with radials. 3 guys have turbos on there cars and hit 490+ whp at 12 psi. GXP jay is working on a new turbo set up that will try to get 600+ whp. I ran a 13.5 @ 106. The srt8 I am sure needed the driver mod. I ran my buddies GTO with intake and exhaust and by 100 he had about 1.5 cars on me.

 

Those are HP Racing Evos in 19x9.5. They looked good before but I recently lowered it it became a whole new car!

 

dam all those mods to run 13.0s im surprised. Im looking at 12s with only mod tires and a stall converter. I thought these cars should be a lot fast than 13.0 with those mods especailly since they are like 1000 pounds lighter than me.

also dyno numbers dont mean ****. Take it to the track. ive seen 700 hp supras run 12s but crazy mph.

Jay took his turbo to the track and ran a 12.1 @ 120 or so on his stock tires. With radials he would be 11's no problem. Why would you need radials with an awd car? I can see your converter helping a lot as would it help us. With those mods going .6-.8 seconds is pretty damn good.

Powerful for what it is...mmmm, show me another station wagon in the 425HP range...I say its not powerful for what it is...is the most powerful station wagon EVER, with looks some of these FWD could only hoped for!....Some here brag about a sleeper??? How about a station wagon that kicks your ***??....while going to the grocery store!

 

I'm sure since you guys are not familiar with the car that your tune wasn't up to par with what others on this forum have. Not to be disrespectful or anything, but you have to learn the particular car. Also did you guys make any stock runs with it? I have also beaten an R/T, it put up a good fight though. Hell i hung with a high 12 Z28 with just the mods in my sig from around 45-115 or so. Our biggest problem is traction though. A tuned ls4 does over 100 in second gear also. I'm expecting a mid 13 out of mine now and i will get the Crane rocker kit at tax time.

hey chaman my mom's ex boyfriend is a drag racer, he actually won the national championship in the pro class in pomona, anyways, he had an 87 malibu wagon with a 454 that ran 11s, that was a badass wagon haha, he had custom plates on it too: SHGNWGN haha i loved that thing
