Fuel System Maintenance.....
Fuel System Maintenance..... I was wondering if any has had this done or if you have done it yourself. I mean.. cleaning the throttle body, and cleaning the injectors etc. I was walking through Murrays and saw The 3M fuel systems cleaning kit and wondered if anyone has ever used this or something similiar.

valvoline has a 3 step fuel cleaning service, ive used it before and have noticed a slight difference in performance. not so much on the gas milage but every little bit helps right? they include a fuel injector cleaner, throttle body cleaner and intake cleaner.
When I worked at Pep Boys in the Shop we had a 3 step system. I was thinking about having my local dealer do it for me.... but I've done it before for other peoples cars so I know I can do it. I was wondering what Brand Name multi step fuel system cleaner would be the better one to use.

Seafoaming = wonderful.
There's a seafoam sticky... i recommend it, crankcase, fuel, deep creep on the throttle body/intake and the fuel treatment. It'll cost you 15-20 bucks and likely will have the same effect as the $40 kit that doesn't even clean your crankcase/oiled parts/vacuum lines.
What a shop does goes a little above and beyond that by directly cleaning/backflowing the injectors iirc.

I put a botthe of the Techron injector cleaner last month. With low mileage, my car sits a lot, so i added it to keep things clean. I run it in my 2000 monte about once a month, or every 2 months.
