Cobalt Red???? I went to GM here to get touch up paint, and the said whats you color? I said Crimson red, he typed in my Vin# and it showed Cobalt red, I said in the brocher said Crimson red.
Did they make 08 GXP's in cobalt red?

Our GXP Colors are a little off from the standard GM colors in some cases. I know my Dark Metallic Cherry Red does not equal the standard GM Dark Metallic Cherry Red you get from the store. Autozone and Murrays both did not have the proper DMCR for my car, so I had to special order it through a dealer based off VIN number.
What I bet happened is your GXP's color came as Crimson Red, but GM later decided it liked the color, used it on other models and called it Cobalt Red, as such you're in the computer as Cobalt Red.

I own a 2007 "Crimson Red" GXP and I'm holding the touch up paint in my hand that took 2 weeks for my dealer to get in. It says "Cobalt Red" and it's a perfect match.

By the way, I only have 14k on my car and drive like I'm driving Miss Daisy most of the time with a 2 mile commute to work and very few trips on the highway but my hood is chipped all to crap. Anyone else having similar issues with chipping paint?

As per the website, brochure, and my window sticker my color was listed as Precision Red, however when I needed touch up paint they said they never heard of that color. I forget what came up when he entered my VIN.
