What's that extra lever for?

I've seen some bad quality photos of 2005 GXP's and have noticed some slight interior and exterior differences from my 2007. Interior: What is that extra lever behind and to the right of the steering wheel and under the wiper control arm? Also - why don't the 2005's have a hole above the heads-up display control? Exterior: Do the 2005's have a "GXP" badge on the trunk? The attached images are from my 2007.

the lever is the cruise control swith, no we dont have a change hole in fron of the heads up controller we have an ash tray. and no it does not say gxp on the trunk. hope this answers your questions

Actually, in my car, we refer to it as "the hole that collects dust and is almost impossible to clean."
