Powered subwoofer power cable
You talking about the amp turn-on cable, or the amp power cable? The former tells the amp to turn on, while the other just supplies the power.
If you're already looking near the battery, I'm assuming that you're talking about the power wire. You should just crimp a ring to the end of the cable and put it right under the nut on the battery post, or the power post @ the fuse block. Make sure that you have a properly rated inline fuse close to wherever you connect.

I plan on running it thru the grommet on passenger side fire wall along the door sill to the trunk.
Any problem of running 2 items (GPS, Radar detector) off of the TAP wire (going to pwr window) in right front passenger area?

both are very low amp devices i doubt you'll have a problem you'll know quickly when the fuse blows no big deal. as for running 10 gauge power cable ? don't you think you should run at least 4 2 or 0 gauge ?
