Most recommended mods/upgrades to a GP GXP?
Friend got a GXP finally after saying he wanted one forever, after owning a few years older standard GP. So now he has something WORTH modding! This is an online friend, so sadly I can't help him wrench in new parts, so I'll have to say list them from easiest/most recommended, to hardest. Or Best bang for buck at the least. And, as I just found out, he actually has no tools LOL So if you happen to know off hand which tools are needed for a mod, listing that would help :\ I know I'm asking for quite a bit lol
Just lastly, I know they blow chunks for the LT1s, but how are those hand-held computer programmers for these LS4s?
Thanks

I think there have been a couple recent threads just like this you could check. Engine wise intake(K&N, Cold Air Inductions, or a homemade fenderwell) and exhaust(Magnaflow unless you go custom) are most common. Could do a downpipe(Hogan) as well.
As far as handheld tuners, well you'll get mixed opinions on the Diablosport, and depending on what year he has, it won't even work.

Hmm, I suppose I should've not acted like a n00b and searched
"But it's so much easier to just ASK!", and indeed it it :S Guilty
He's been mentioning that apparently the Magnaflow seem to offer the best power and sound for the LS4. Any headers recommended? And excuse my ignorance of this part, do they have shorty, mids and LTs, or just basically mids-only? And I'm pretty sure it's an 06, but I'm double checking and will post the confirmation of year
EDIT: Yea, 2006.

True. And not to confuse my other post about different manifolds, with him actually doing it. It was more of an idea for those who know what they're doing, and giving a better option (if it'd work w/o lots of pain) for exhaust. Most my friend would have done is cat-back (and that Resonator delete I mentioned in the other thread).
