Default Built 4L65E

It's been about 18 months since I built this tranny for my own use so I may have left some of the new parts out of this description. I started with a very low mile 2000 or 2001 Silverado unit that had absolutely nothing wrong with it. I bought a 2WD tail-shaft and housing and then completely disassembled the tranny and cleaned and inspected every part and there was virtually no wear on anything. I was building it for maximum duty and here is a fairly complete list of what I put into it. 1. 13 vane pump, 2. pump ring set, 3. 29 element Borg Warner forward input sprag, 4. 3/8" wider 2-4 power band (the drum was nearly perfect), 5. 9-plate 3-4 clutch, 6. "The Beast" reaction shell, 7. new OEM, front and rear 5-pinion planets, 7. wider rear sun gear bushing, 8. extreme duty reaction carrier shaft, 9. Trans-Go shift kit, 10. all new teflon seals, clutch fibers (high-performance) and plates. I may be able to remember some of the other things I did to the tranny when I built it after I go through my notes and receipts again.

I bought all of the parts from raptor.com (I think that is the new website name, it used to be 4l60e.com, I think) and consulted with them on the best stuff to use. I've built many engines and about 1/2 dozen auto trannys and I've never had any trouble with any of them.

I don't see any reason why not. If your F-body had a 4L60E in it this tranny should work just fine. The electronics have not been altered.
