Default Shipping a Y pipe

I know this might not be the place to post this but I couldn't figure out where to post this so I figured I'd post it here and someone can maybe chime in. I sold a SLP Y pipe and I need to know what is the best way to ship it? I took it to UPS today and they said just wrap it up good in bubble wrap and it would be good to go since finding a box that a one piece y pipe will fit in is almost impossible. But then they gave me a very crazy price of $140 to ship it from La. to Ca. How are some of you guys that has sold a y pipe packed it and shipped it?

Default shipping

I just bought a SLP y-pipe from a guy in NY he boxed it and put it on a greyhound bus - cost 40$ and was here pretty quick. I also bought a rear spoiler and hatch for my 87 in the CT? it was only 50$ good way to ship bigger items, hope this helps
