That doesn't sound right. I currently have a diablo predator on my 01 formula and it is actually my friends programmer who is letting me use it while he is at work. I just re-installed his factory tune and plugged it in to my car with no problems. You should only need to reflash the tuner if the previous owner didn't unmarry it from their car. MAybe I'm missing something....

I dont know. I tried to use it when I first got it and It wouldnt let me install the performance tune in my car. I had to send it back for the reflash before I could use it. So your saying that you installed the performance tune from your friends programmer into your car. Was it originally in his car? I always thought once you use it on a vehicle its marrried to that one even if you reinstall the factory tune to the car. I dont know much about it myself but youve got me wondering about it now.

IF you set it back to the original tune, and did it right the tuner should be able to be used on another vehicle cause its no longer married to that car. If you did it right it should work fine to the next buyer. You can check it and see if its married to a vin still.

What he said. If you put the original factory tune back into your car or unmarry it then it is back to normal. Whoever you bought it from didn't unmarry it from their car or you wouldn't have had to re-flash it.
