This was one of my concerns with them as well.....let us know how they do on the street. I am curious of the pounding they can take....

nice wheels though. I can't see your pics because of the work firewall so I will have to wait till I get home.

Great present and very cool little brother!!!! Better than those pine tree air freshners..lol!!!

I still have the TT2's but I will be keeping them. So far I've been daily driving with the Summit Stars since Wednesday and I have hit the countless dips and potholes in my town without any damage.

You have an awesome brother for a kind of b-day present like that. Guess it sucks since I am the only boy in my family.

Nice rims the T/A looks sweet with them!

btw: the Prostar's cost me $1,200 , thats including rims 15X10 and 15X3.5, lug studs, lug nuts, MT dr's and MT front runners.

The weight for prostar wheels are:
13.5 lbs - Weld pro Star (15X10)
12 lbs - Weld Pro Star (15x8)
10 lbs - Weld Pro Star (15x3.5)

The backspacing for welds on stock rear end:

weld 15X10 - 7.5 Backspacing
weld 15X8 - 5.5 Backspacing
weld 15X3.5 - 1.75 Backspacing

There is some grinding of caliper and/or using spacers to fit.

They look good! I've got the 15X4 Jeg's Stars up front on mine. I actually like them better than Weld prostars for the following reasons:

-they use an acorn stlye lug nut not the shanked one the Prostar uses, I always get em stuck in the damn wheel!

-they are 1 piece aluminum construction unlike the hollow center of the Prostar

Weld makes a very good wheel and I don't mean to bash em in any way, actually I'm pretty sure the shank style lug nut is stronger than the acorn style. I just think for the money these wheels are a great buy from summit or Jegs! I like the Jeg's center cap better, the Summit one looks cheaper to me, same thing but Jeg's put a small emblem in the center. I don't remember exact weights but I know mine with 165/80R15's were 14lbs lighter than my chrome salad shooters with 245/50ZR16's (each). Congrats on the B-day present it sounds like he really put forth some effort to do this for ya, that's a hell of a brother!
