Default New best for me today! 11-01-08

Went to Byron Dragway to watch Speedinc and Z8s car and a bunch of others run. I also brought my car to get some more baseline numbers b4 the real mods start this winter.
My car has a catback and a couple suspension mods and on Nitto DRs with a half tank
It ran a new best of
60 1.971
330ft 5.589
1/8 8.575
MPH 82.13
1000ft 11.148
1/4 13.324
MPH 103.05

Not to shabby for catback only! Only .325 away from 12s
Now Im thinking Maybe go back one more time pull the rear seats & fold down, the rear hatch thing, all the floor mats, pull the front swaybar, STB,descreen the Mass air,TB bypass and only 1/4 tank and leave alittle harder and try for 12s. Should only get cooler out side as well so that should help. Think I can do it?

Not bad, my 89 with 410s and a 160 k mile L98 with headers and carb conversion went 13.87 at 101. I have never seen a LT1 F car with such few mods go that fast in person.

Nice times, use this site to calculate how many parts you need to pull. Gain 10hp and loose a couple hundred and you are there!!

Good luck with her.

thats really impressive for a catback only LT1 is it a M6 or A4? mine with LT's, true duals, CAI and drag radials only went 13.42.

I seen you there today and I can tell ya I'm impressed with what your car is running with your mods. I remember when my car was stock with headers running 13.7 @ 102.

Congrats

That's pretty impressive for a lightly modded L98. That's like stock or very very lightly modded LT1 times with three mods. I bet the gears helped a bunch. Was it a five speed? I heard they were like 4 tenths faster than the autos on average.

Hotrod-When do the tracks up there close for the year? I had thought about coming up next weekend for a few runs. Ever been to Cordova or Joliet?

Congrats bro thats one of the best LT1 f-body times I have seen from a car that stock! My buddy has a '95 Vette 6-speed with just LT's, Mufflers, CAI, and DR's and he was doing 12.60's at 107 full weight! LT1's aren't so bad after all lol.

Thanks a ton guys!!!! Im real happy so far!!!!
I had a few people saying I was either lying or something was wrong with the stock Ls1s I have ran on the street or strip. LOL! Turns out I just have a fast car.LOL!

Anyways the tracks are open threw the next few weekends as long as weather permits.
I usually go to Greatlakes Dragway or Byron. Byron hooks like a *****! !!!!!!!!

I have only been to 66 once and only got 1 run in years ago, never been to Cordova.

I think If I could only get that 1.7 60ft you have and alittle weight loss and take out the front sway bar with some great weather I could hit 12s?????
