10's NA first time out with new 396
all jokes aside BADHAWK if that's what you're running congrats on the N/A 11.20. My best recorded track time was 11.123@124.5, 97SS M6, LME Callies Solid Roller 396, 500 N/A rwhp. Mike Pabon @ICON here in Houston got another 25 out of it before I got rid of the car. Anyway nice to see another N/A person out there. Also congrats on building a fast LT1 yourself.
1- more driver friendly setup, since he drives this car to and from the track and then some
2- 10's on HP
so the plan is......
FLT Level 5 4L60E
Yank PT4400
This should take care of things just right
maybe hit it with a small 100ish shot if we want to sneak in around the 9's The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

I Love my car, very streetable. But it seems all motor 10 second REAL streetcars dont get anymore respect anymore. At least not around here.
I still think its a huge benchmark, especially in a heavy car with a small block.
Its a total blast to drive on the street and at 30 mph mat the gas pedal and lay black marks!!!
So what does the OP car weigh?
The 4L60E as we know has a killer first gear and combine that with a hard hitting / efficient PT4400 it should leave wicked.
10's NA out of a junk LT1 is fly'n especially for a driver which is not a gutted race car IMO, but I do agree many of us still don't get respect.
I did surprise myself and others when they seen my car leave as it did this past Sat.
P.S .. no heat or A/C in my eyes doesn't make it a race car

Sorry it took me so long Larry but I didn't notice this post.... congrats on the 10th on guts alone.... feelz good doesn't it????
.Anyways, congrats to the OP and others who are in the 10s!
most people at the track where shocked and thought I was spraying since it leaves so hard and by the results

plans are to not go on the bumper, so that's the reason for having the window switch set high to start with

Larry Congrats again now lets get to work on mine.
