Just like i said, keep practiceing with what you have, you'll start seeing 13.3s, maybe even 13.2s, your MPH is good for a 12 second pass, but you'll need 1.8s for that, go back & get that 13.3
I like my 4.10s a lot, they make a bunch of noise though, and well don't really assist in traction in the lower gears on street tires, that's for sure.
hmm.. i wonder what would happen if i ran 4.10's did you like them?
After installing mine & shelling out 2300.00 for a 9" (thats the best & only way to go IMHO) i wish i would have left the 3.42s & 10 bolt in, not that i'm not satified, i am, but mainly because i know i have a much better rear, the 4.11s are nice, but not a "shocker" of a difference, just remember, your 24+" tires aren't going to hold well with 4.11s (in any rear), you'll brow them loose very easy, the only way you'll keep that snappy feeling is sticking with a 24" tire, i stepped up to a 26" & felt the loss right away, i don't even know if they make a DR for a 17-18" thats 24"s tall, if you step up to a 26" or taller, get 4.30s,but then you can rule out adding any nitrous unless you stick to the 1/8 mile, when i went from the 3.42s to the 4.11s it was indeed noticeable when i stayed with the 255/45/17s, they were 24.4"s tall, but then i installed some 255/50/16s hoosier DRs, they are 26.4" tall, it damn near felt like i went back to 3.42s, i only gained .2 tenths, MPH stayed the same, the funny thing is, i ran a 13.79 on a 2.17 60ft. with the 3.42s, then ran a 13.55 on a 2.00 with the 4.11s, now amagin if i had ran a 2.00 with the 3.42s (which you did), then what would i have ran, most likely 13.5s lol, so don't exspect a huge gain, you'll feel it in the lower gears, but you'll be shifting faster also, i've heard claims of .5 tenths & better from a gear change (talking M6 cars), i'm not buying it, i've talked with a few guys at my track that made the change, they were claiming .2 at best, & this was still useing the 10 bolt unless other things were changed in the process resalting in a lower ET, if some have dropped more then 1/2 second from 3.42s too 4.11s with nothing else done, then they got lucky (but i'm still not convinced), just remember, a 3.42 gear with are short tires is nothing to puke over, thats a decent gear with such a little tire, the A4 guys have it rough if there running 2.73s, when they jump to 3.73s, thats a big jump & the benifits are there, you will really notice that, but in the long run, when you talk about putting gears behind the M6 in the 10 bolts, its just a waiste of money, with any decent street tire & hard launches, your on barrowed time, with a set of good DRs like MTs or Hoosiers, your asking for trouble, who wants to "truely" hook up & then have to baby it so not to snap something, thats just going backwards, if you have a stock clutch on DRs, sure that will help (because it'll slip), whos wants that either, it'll be toast soon, so bottom line, stay with the stock gears & have fun ( hell, throw 100 shot at it), or invest in a 9" & custom driveshaft/torgue arm. This is just from my exsperience, if i was in your shoes (knowing what i know now), iwould buy a NX kit from Nitrous outlet, throw some decent DRs on it or Nittos, run a 100 shot with a "tune", go scavage the bone yards for some 3.42 10 bolts & buy a couple for spares, then go run some bottom 12s @ well over 110 MPH, because it WILL do it .
Do some weight reduction and get some good drag radials, not nittos and you could see very low 13s.
Why not nittos???? I have run them on 3 cars and they hook a ***** with a good burnout and are the best DRs for street driving and handeling
My car went 13.32 on a 1.9 60ft. No spin at all!!!!!!!!!! Cat back on Nittos
Tony- yea yea im sure its the driver mod right LMAO. ive had tons of practice in the 2 runs i got in before the track closed for the winter...just wait till spring when i can get some more passes under my belt. 13.0s here i come lol.
none the less good runs. ill let you get my rear wheels and drag radials if you want them im gonna upgrade to some 02 ws6 wheels this weekend. im thinking about selling the cam i have and getting a cc503 or 306 instead.

They do get the best mileage I'll give em that. It's just what I've seen at the track. A friend of mine has them as his street tires and he can't get them to hook on the street or track. His best 60 on Nittos was 1.8 so I said try mine, we swapped them out at the track. His 1st run was 1.68 and I could only get high 1.8. This is all moot though since op said he wasnt going to track.
If you stay with a 100 shot with the stock tune, you should be fine on 93 octane, you can always run a small mix 75%/25% of 93/105 octane to be safe, just make sure you use the unleaded race gas, if you get a tune, it'll automatically take timing out @ WOT, even N/A, so if you don't want that, either use a mix (when running the nitrous), or you can get a timing retard box like the Mallory 685. I have heard of people running a 100 shot on stock tunes & 93 with no issues, also, you'll want a colder plug like the TR6.
I hear that, I'm also jobless. I sold a door off the third gen I was parting out so I'm not feeling as guilty about going. I probably wouldn't if I lived closer to OSW anyway, but all tracks are equidistant to me.
