Default Before and after, exhaust

The first vid was my 95 Z with a bone stock LT1 with 136k miles, gutted cat, straight pipe and a K&N drop in.

However the second is not even a LT1, it is to give an idea of what it would sound like with:

Ported and polished heads with 194/150 valves
Comp XE288HR 236/242 .520/.540 lift on 110 LSA
Pace setter mids and Y
Gutted cat
Straight pipe with Borla tips

It is a carbed SBC, but i still wanted to let people know how it sounds with the setup on a 4th gen F car, i am in love with it.

DO NOT GIVE ME **** ABOUT DITCHING THE LT1, i wanted to and I did.

Even though i don't get sound on my computer (no speakers lol), i'm sure it sounds great, i won't dog on you for ditching the LT1, its something YOU wanted to do, but i will say after owning an LT1, i love this engine over any SB chevy from the past, i'm at 159000 miles & it doesn't burn a drop of oil, plus it runs like a MF, i've never in my 44 years have had/seen the older SB chevy engine run this strong after even 150000, not even close, this is actually my second LT1 Camaro, my 1st. was a 94 A4 car with 144000 on it, it too ran strong & didn't use any oil, so i commend them, but as long as you like the outcome of your ride, thats all that matters.

Not bad Zone. Why not 2.02/1.60's for valves though? Why did you stick with the 1.94/1.50's?

Well, it is a budget swap, it is what i had laying around, i needed to get the car back on the road for as cheap as possible but i wanted it to run as good as i could possibly get out of it.

This is not posted for that debate, i just wanted to show the difference in sound as not too many people do straight pipe with that many of these.

Well, so far, with this much power, it has not really let me down, it feels great and i might even hit the 1/8th mile tonight so see how it looks. It hit the steering shaft but the vortec heads might be a bit different from the LT1 heads? But so far, i have no complaint.

Not trying to stir up a debate or anything, but im just curious, and it may be a stupid question for a high performance car.

What kind of gas mileage are you expecting vs the Lt1.
I know a lot of guys around here making insane power of sbc and the only thing that would hold me back from swapping would be gas mileage, because id still want to be able to drive it.

Well, a correctly tuned carbed SBC will get ever so slightly less economy, so far, un tuned for the most part, i filled up thursday, beat the hell out of it, then some more, went to the track yesterday, made 6 passes, went to a meet, played with some rides here and there and between revving it so let people hear it in person, i have 150 miles one a tank and still have 1/4 left. In 6th cruising, i cannot watch the gauge move, i will update you when i get a normal tank thru it.

Definitely sounds good.

You should know better than to tell us you took it to the track and not tell us how you ran though, lol.

Did not run anything to talk about, i was on the 245/50/16s, so with a ***** 2.2 60 foot it only got 9.0s, but it did it at 80 MPH, so that is not bad on the MPH side for not being tuned yet. It was only the 1/8th mile.
