Sometimes you just can't catch a break..... Went to install the new lifters yesterday, pulled the driver side rockers. I have a mangled one on this side also? Learned a important lesson, even though the poly lock wasn't loose, well must not have been adjusted properly. Looks just like the other one I posted above. Also had 4 bent pushrods, at least those are cheap to replace. So if you are reading this and it never occurred to you like it did to me, pull the whole valve train apart when you have a issue.

So well the big pain in the *** is that for some reason Summit doesn't have any promags at the GA warehouse. Last weeks came from OH, and now that I had to order another one its even worse, this one is coming from NV! Damn it man! I just want to hear this thing running again, this downtime is depressing.

I'm convinced I'm def. doing a full turn this time. Anyone else running SA promags with the hotcam? I just don't understand why I'm having so many issues. Using the crane double springs, 7.2" pushrods, 1.6 Comp promag roller rockers. The rocker bodies are good, so I was told I don't have geometry issues, that if I did typically the rocker body makes contact with the spring/retainer.

its not the best pic but thats how it should look. you might be hitting the valve retainer

Nah only retainer that is marked up is the #2 intake, that is the one where my lifter came apart, the rocker arm spun, marked up the whole top of the retainer.

Everything seems to line up fine, I just don't understand why the one on the driver side chewed itself up, only thing I can figure was it was too loose. Maybe I somehow missed it, but I doubt it.

The lifter that came apart was due to the retainer in it snapping in half.

I'm thinking I'm going to keep it 6200rpm and under from now on. Probably set my shift light at 5900rpm or so. Hotcam peaks at 5800 right? Guess the hotcam isn't happy at all at 6500? Getting a stock rearend, so I should be crossing the line in 4th without spinning it stupid high anyway. I was shifting the other gears with the light coming on at 6200, so who knows what it was spinning by the time I shifted it.

Summit somehow magically got the other rocker to me yesterday. Car is back on the ground awaiting my new battery. Really hoping I'm not messing with this valvetrain anymore, I'm starting to feel like this:
